For Queens in ’09, Candidates in Spades

Along with nearly all of the county's City Council members seeking promotions to Boro Prez, Public Advocate, Comptroller, or Avella's quixotic Mayoral run, there are staffers already set up to run for city council runs. Shirley Huntley's Chief of staff Rubin Wills and Greg Meeks District office manager Brian Simmons will be running for Leroy Comrie's and James Sanders' seats respectively.

Community activists have also made intentions known such as Phil Goldfeder (community liason for the Mayor's office), David Reisch (city council candidate in 2001), Kevin Forestal (president of advisory council for Queens Hospital Center), will all likely be running for Jim Gennaro's Seat.
